Mini Cherry Picker

You can see Hydraulics at work in lots of places every day. Cherry Pickers are used in many different ways from rescuing cats in trees to fixing electricity lines. They stay perfectly horizontal whilst moving up and down, just like this Mini Cherry Picker! This model uses the same principles as those used in real situations, except you use water instead of hydraulic fluid - less messy! Once built, it provides an excellent example of how we use technology to reach those hard to get to places! Great fun for kids to learn about hydraulics and simple machines, including interesting levers and parallel linkages.
