Omni XLT series features the stable platform of the CG-4 mount and high quality optics. Using aspheric shaping technology in conjunction with hand-figuring the optics the Omni XLT presents an image with virtually no spherical abberation. We also added our famous StarBright XLT coating system to further enhance light transmission.
The six inch f/5 Newtonian on the CG4 German equatorial is the ideal instrument for the beginner and the more experienced. Images are bright and contrasty, with enough aperture for clear views of all Messier objects and a great many of the NGC objects. Planetary images are bright with good resolution of low contrast detail. The Omni XLT 150 makes a superb 750mm f/5 telephoto, and a first rate partner for a webcam type camera like the Celestron Neximage. This telescope offers the brightest images and the highest potential resolving power of all the Omni series, and its price falls within the budget of every amateur. An attractive design makes this telescope a show piece instrument, with a performance to match. For the price, the Omni XLT 150 is unbeatable.
