This high quality, low cost kit is ideal for demonstrating magnetic induction and Lenz's Law. The kit includes a coil, magnet, light emitting diode (LED), copper tube and metal slug. Movement of the magnet through the coil induces a current and lights the LED. The magnet dropped through the copper tube falls more slowly than when outside the tube and when compared to the non-magnetic slug demonstrating the creation of eddy currents in the tube.
