The Wimshurst Machine is one of the most iconic electrostatic generators. Like a Van de Graaff generator, the Wimshurst Machine utilises a build-up of static charge to produce a spark of electricity.
This kit allows you to build your own fully functional high voltage Wimshurst Machine out of sturdy cardboard, aluminium foil, PVC and wooden rods. The kit features a limited current for safe experiments, with the sparks produced being up to 70,000V and 5cm long.
